We’re not a big church. But we’re a close one. We’re the kind of church where somebody saves you a seat, where the everybody knows your kids’ names, and where nobody’s going to look at you sideways if you don’t know the words to the hymn.
We’re farmers and teachers, parents and grandparents. People who’ve been walking with God out here on the plains for a long time. We’d love for you to walk with us.

Meet Pastor Tim Wardell
Pastor Tim has been leading Gordon Church of God since 2023
He and his wife Kim moved to South Dakota as missionaries to the Lakota people on the Pine Ridge Reservation in 2016, and have had a passion for serving the communities of the Sandhills ever since.
“I didn’t grow up planning to pastor a church in western Nebraska. But God has a way of planting you exactly where you need to be. Nowadays, we can’t imagine being anywhere else. I love this church because these people are real. They show up, they serve, and they don’t pretend to have it all figured out. That’s my kind of church, because that is my kind of faith”
